Book Review: Lord, I Give You This Day

Lord, I Give You This Day
by Kay Arthur

I have always enjoyed the way that Kay Arthur teaches God’s Word with passion and conviction; inspiring you to discover the rich treasures within it.  This yearlong devotional delivers this same kind of experience; washing you in the truth and purity of God’s Word each day. You will be exhorted and convicted as you come face-to-face with the words of the Holy One…“How can Christians keep from being imprisoned by the world?  How can
we keep our vision and not lose hope?  By obedience to God’s Word and
by clinging to it in faith”
(Feb. 12th entry, Kay Arthur).

This devotional is not light and fluffy, but meaty and refreshing; calling you to maturity in Christ.  Kay sticks to the facts, not opinions, pointing you as an arrow, ready to hit the mark, of obeying God’s Word everyday. Incorporate this book as part of your quiet time and I believe that you will be positioned to be built up and strengthened in your faith.  As you take in these daily doses of truth you will be challenged to evaluate yourself in the light of the gospel and realign your thinking and actions according to it.  This book is a call to action…to abide in Christ as you give Him each day.

Read an entry from the book or order it here (at the site click on the book to view a portion of it).

Learn more about Kay’s ministry and bible study tools here (over the years I have taken many Precept courses.  Currently, I am in Isaiah Part 1 and I am being greatly challenged and learning so much…consider joining an inductive bible study. You can find details through the link above).
