Restoration Project: Lay Down Your Burdens

The Restoration Project 31 Day Series by Katie M Reid

Welcome to Day #18 of the Restoration Project.

It’s time for a sacred Sunday as we rest from the typical and usher in a slower pace.

Sometimes our burdens keep us from resting well.

What burdens have you been carrying lately? What worries do you need to lay down?

Lay down your burdens, I will carry you. I will carry You, My child, My child.”

Let’s lay them down today and pick up His grace. Let’s leave our worries in God’s capable hands. Let’s rest—assured that He is in control and knows what He’s doing.

Lean in to His embrace.

R– Release your worries to the One who can handle them all.

E– Emulate the Creator who rested from creating.

S– Stay still long enough to be recharged.

T– Trust God to take care of you and the rest of the world too.

Dear God, Thank You for this day. Thank You for creating rest. Thank You for your patience with us as we slowly learn to unwind in Your Presence. Help us to rest our minds, hearts and hands today. May we give others breathing room so that they can also rest well today. Remind us that You are capable to complete the work that You have started. As we take a break from our doing may we experience restoration in You. Thank You that You redeem the time as we trust it to You. Help us to be faithful to rest so that we can be ready for all that You have for us this coming week. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Let's enjoy some cut-to-the-chase conversation over hot or iced tea, as we find grace in the unraveling of life (together). Let's exchange try-hard striving for hope-filled freedom as we settle into our position as a doer and a daughter—created by a Loving Father.
