#inspireandgrow: Seeds

Take a few minutes to read The Parable of the Sower, found in Mark 4:1-20.
Picture

Here are the seeds.
Young, tender, encapsulated.
You watch over them with anticipation.
You care for them
and help them grow.
You often want to rush them; hurry them up.

Then they blossom, all of sudden, and you are surprised.
Where did the time go?

Picture

Look, here they are, displaying what’s within
See them, holding on but ready to let go too

They have been prepared for this
They are unfolding, coming into their own

Breathe deep, adjust your focus, and open trembling hands; they are ready for flight
They know where they come from, but they are ready for new ground
Picture

With open hands you received them
Now, with open hands release them to Him who keeps them

Lean in to the One who made them
Trust the One who caused their growth
Pour out your heart to the One who calls them
He is able to carry them as you set them down, so that they can stand up

They walk tall knowing that you are there behind them
They go forth in the grace that covers all the cracks
As they look back, you wave them on like a dancing wind
You gave them roots, and He will give them wings.
