Wound Up Women: Rally Around The Rubles (Giveaways)

Wound Up Women who apply God’s word can impact this world for His glory!
It is a joy to post opportunities for us to rally together for the cause of Christ and make change that matters.

If you have hung around my blog for awhile then you’ve met my friend Jen. She has a blog and an Etsy Store called Adopting Nations.

I wish you could come have coffee with Jen as she pours out her story to you. After a compelling, heart-stirring conversation you’d dab your tears and feel inspired to go run a marathon (or at least get up and join Jen and her husband in ministry).

Here’s the main point… Jen and her husband Jeremy have two boys stuck in Congo. And they aren’t the only ones waiting. Some adopted children have died over there while waiting for one piece of paper- an exit letter.

Jeremy just returned from an incredible twelve day visit in Congo (they could not afford for both he and Jen to go). The boys lived with Jeremy as he parented them and they bonded- hand in hand, heart to heart. Imagine his agony leaving the boys behind and not being able to fully explain why he can’t take them home or even when he might see them again.

Each month the Rubles pay for foster care so that the boys can live together with a loving foster family. Their oldest boy will start school this fall. More expenses. The Rubles are two hard-working teachers who are doing everything they can to hold onto hope and trust God for His provision and timing for their family. We are praying that God works another miracle and reunites this family (for good) in 2014!

Here is where you come in #TightlyWoundWoman! This week we are rallying around the Rubles to help them cover the mounting costs of their sons living expenses and schooling. Jen’s birthday is Tuesday, and I could think of no better gift than for all of us to pour out tangible love upon their family of four.

There are two easy, safe ways that you can give.

One way you can help is by donating via PayPal on the Rubles blog.
Another way you can help is by buying something from the Adopting Nations shop on Etsy. What I love about this option is that you are giving hope while getting something beautifully handmade by Jen (like totes, pillowcases, blankets, etc.) You can keep your treasure or give it to someone else.

But there is even more fun to be had! Everyone who donates via PayPal or buys something from the Etsy store this week Monday-Saturday, August 18th-23rd, will be entered to win some fabulous gifts!

Some of my dear friends have generously donated amazing items for “Rally Around the Rubles”. Many of them are from the Psalms Series (Jen was a part of it too). Hover over the item to learn more about each prize. There will be 3 winners for this giveaway. All 3 winners will be announced on Tuesday, August 26th.

Recap: All you have to do is donate via PayPal or purchase an item from the Adopting Nations Etsy store this week and you will have a chance to win one of 3 prize packages!
