Giving & Giveaways (A Glorious Combination)

Our budget is tight this year, but I am delighted by the great online deals I’m finding for unique and affordable gifts. In honor of #CyberMonday I am offering all my twitter followers the chance to win 1 of 3 free graphics. I will create a graphic with one of my photographs with one of your quotes for a winning combination. To enter make sure you are following me on Twitter @ImprintsKatie and reply to the tweet I posted about #CyberMonday. The 3 winners will be announced on the blog next week!

Here is an example of a graphic that I had the privilege of creating for Kate Motaung’s ebook Letters to Grief. It releases on Amazon this week for only 99 cents. Go check it out!

Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday. Thanks Crystal for the heads up so I could prepare for this exciting day. We want to take a moment to thank you for giving of yourselves in so many ways this year. #WoundUpWomen and #MakeADifferenceMen can do more good by giving locally and giving globally in order to make Jesus known!

Let’s extend ourselves again and give to causes that spread the Gospel and clothe the hurting with grace and dignity. If you need a list of places to give check out the Extension 26 list (and stay tuned for one final giving opportunity before 2014 is over).

As you know our family loves the ministry of Show Hope. About a month ago we had the incredible opportunity to go tour the Show Hope office, meet the outstanding staff and say thank you in person. We were the recipients of one of their Adoption Aid grants and we have not stopped being grateful for God’s miraculous provision to help bring our youngest home.

Sporting our Show Hope shirts at the office in TN.

Have you heard of the Red Bus Project via Show Hope? Check it out and see if they are coming to a campus near you! We had the privilege of meeting these fabulous gals who are making an eternal impact by giving of themselves in order to bring hope to the hopeless.

Would you take a moment and pray for these ladies as they give of themselves in big ways?

Gifts of Hope (from the Show Hope Christmas catalog) are an easy and meaningful way to give today. Just imagine the joy of helping another child come home to their forever family as you give change to make ripples for His Kingdom!

I have a feeling that God will multiply our small efforts in a big way; stretching our faith as we extend ourselves on His behalf this season.

After all, isn’t that what God ultimately did for us?! He gave His best, an extension of Himself in Jesus His Son; sent to earth to save our souls and restore our relationship with the Father. O come let us adore Him by the way we live!

While on vacation we ran into these wonderful people on the streets of Franklin. It was a dream come true to meet the Chapmans and personally thank them for helping us bring Strong One home via Show Hope. Steven and our youngest were both wearing the same shirt; priceless.

As our way of giving back to you we are giving away Mary Beth’s book Choosing to See. I was delighted to locate a copy at Goodwill in Franklin and look forward to getting it into your hands. Have you read it? It is an account of loss, love and the care of a Father who holds us together even when we are falling apart.

This contest is open to email subscribers of the Tightly Wound Woman blog. If you haven’t already signed-up to receive posts to your inbox see the sidebar located at the top right of this page to do so. Then leave a comment telling us where you will be giving for #GivingTuesday and why. If you are unable to donate monetarily will you take a few minutes to pray for a specific ministry? That totally counts as an entry and is a powerful way to give of yourself today.

Giveaway Recap: All email subscribers who also comment on this post will be entered to win Mary Beth’s book. The winner will be announced next Tuesday, December 9th, on the blog.

Thank you for your generous spirits! Let’s make this the best #GivingTuesday yet.:)
