Isaiah 40:25- The God Like No Other

Welcome to Day #25 in the Isaiah 40 Series!
Isaiah 40:25 “To whom then will you liken me, that I would be his equal? says the Holy One.”
Who is like the Lord?
Who speaks to stormy waves, “Be Still”
And calms this anxious heart?
Who heals the blind and raises dead,
And formed my inmost parts?
Who comforts me in times of grief
And lifts me when I fall?
Who forgives my sin, declares me clean,
And knows about it all?
Who catches tears and knows my fears
And loves me just the same?
Who goes before and shows the way
And calls us each by name?
There is none like Him- Our Lord, our King
Beyond compare is He.
Our Maker, our God, and Savior
No equal to you and me.
As I mentioned before, Isaiah 45 repeatedly speaks on the same concept found here in Isaiah 40:25- who is like the LORD?
Isaiah 45:3  “…that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you be name.”
Isaiah 45:5  “I am the LORD, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God…”
Isaiah 45:6 “That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun that there is no one besides Me.  I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:7 “The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these.”
Isaiah 45:14b “Surely, God is with you, and there is none else, no other God.”
Isaiah 45:18b “I am the LORD, and there is none else.”
Isaiah 45:21 “…Is is not I, the LORD?  And there is no other God besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none except Me.”

Isaiah 45:22 “Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”
What else can be said?  Reread these verses and really let them sink in.  Either He is who He says He is or He is not.  I believe that He is.  I choose, by faith, to take Him at His Word.  Oh, how I pray that you will too.  Not because I want you to; but because He is calling you, by name, to return to Him.  Do you hear Him?  He is not far off.  Seek Him while He may be found, call on Him while He is near.  This life, here, is important, but it is fleeting, but eternity is forever.  You may not like this, or believe this,  but it does not make it any less true.
Oh, how He loves you.  Oh, how He cares.  There is none like Him.  No idol, no person, nothing else, can bring contentment and awe- salvation and lasting hope- like God can; none is equal to Him.
Deep Breaths:
1.  Memorize Isaiah 40:25
2.  If you haven’t already read all of Isaiah 45; what verses stuck out to you?  Why?
3.  If you are feeling soulful and want to get up and dance, check out the song below, “Who Is Like The Lord?”
