When You’re Grieving: Episode #21 (Interview with Robyn Dykstra)

Interview Robyn Dykstra Episode 21 Grieving Martha Mary Show

The holidays are quickly approaching, and it’s a wonderful time of year but it can also be a painful time for many. Are you among those who are grieving losses this season? Or do you know and love someone who is?

Jesus wept with Martha and Mary over their brother, Lazarus, in John 11. We are addressing this important topic, of loss and death, that has impacted humanity since the Fall (see Genesis 3) and how to offer comfort to others, on this week’s podcast episode.

Listen to the latest episode over here, on our podcast webpage, or access Episode #21 on your favorite podcast app.

Our guest today is our friend, Robyn Dykstra. She is the reluctant expert on being a widow. As a popular Christian speaker, she shares her dramatic story of love and loss as well as her discoveries for holding onto hope in times of grief, as a single-parent, and in overwhelming circumstances. Widowed twice in four years, Robyn has the unique voice to speak on the faithfulness of God, the power of prayer, legacy, forgiveness, marriage and the importance of friendship. Her topics are serious, but her delivery on the page and from the platform is hilariously funny and captivatingly entertaining.
